Born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, Nick has been involved in ministry over the past 12 years, working with Worship Ministries, Prayer and Youth Ministries as well as serving in Pastoral and Director positions for different churches and ministry organizations. In August 1999, after having an encounter with the Lord in prayer, Nick began working on putting together a prayer and praise room for Lincoln. It was to be a place where people of all Christian faiths could come together to pray and worship. Shortly thereafter Nick and his wife Dixie met Mike Bickle for the first time and soon joined the Staff at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Missouri. As worship leader and intercessory missionary Nick went back to Lincoln, Nebraska and spent three years from 2001-2003 working to establish the Lincoln House of Prayer. During that time he had opportunities to meet and receive blessings and affirming guidance from Christian leaders such as John Burpee, Bonnie Chavda, Cal Pierce in Spokane Washington, Todd Bently, Kingsly Fletcher and along with his wife Dixie Canuso would receive a special blessing from Mike Bickle to go forth and raise up leaders for Houses of Prayer throughout the world. After doing a special 18-hour prayer walk around the city of Lincoln, Nick shifted his focus from planting a House of Prayer in Lincoln to going deeper into prayer and worship, as well as working with youth. In 2004 Nick released his first Christian CD "Awaken Love". Recorded in Kansas City with a Live Studio setting the album features musicians from the House of Prayer staff including Marcus Meier of Merchant Band, Markus and his wife Allison Hendrickson and John Hendrickson on Drums. 2004-2006 Nick and Dixie focused on Youth Ministry in the Kansas City area, and Nick contributed in serving IHOP with his music on a fill-in basis. Speaking at several different Catholic Conferences about the importance of prayer, the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the Church's destiny at the end of the age, Nick also had the privilege of meeting and spending time with author Ralph Martin and Father Tom Forrest, both respected leaders in the Catholic Charismatic renewal, as well as several other leaders including the Arch-Bishop of Kansas City, Kansas. Each time bringing forth the vision of unified prayer and assisting churches in fulfilling their own specific calling as "A House of Prayer for All Nations." December of 2006 Nick and Dixie were both ordained as ministers of the Gospel through Destiny Churches and Ministries International. A Christian Apostolic network with a vision of empowering the Bride of Christ to walk in her Destiny. Nick Canuso and his family currently reside in Palm Coast, Florida where they are now working on spearheading the EI-4 Initiative, assisting in the establishment of a House of Prayer and Healing Rooms in Lakeland, Florida. As a musician Nick is currently writing several new corporate praise and worship songs for his upcoming CD, as well as working on a new book with his wife Dixie. In addition to music, faith and family, Nick also enjoys football, swimming and playing at the beach, coffee and all things Star Wars.
